Beta - that's what I thought, but paed said if she's not feeding well then wait till she is hungry especially at night as sleep is good for both of us (she's not much of a sleeper during the day at the moment)
I'm weighing her every thursday, so will see how she gains this week I guess.
I feed her at 9.30 every night, so that's her late feed before the big stretch.. If she's not awake it's hard!!

She's a great sleeper and I'm so thankful for that as my son was awful !!!

Sounds like you're doing all you can then! I've found Jaan feeds better as he gets older, he also sleeps all night and has done since a few weeks old. When I just breastfed one week he didn't put on enough weight so now I give him 150ml formula each night & he puts on enough each week. Very tricky these bubbas! I totally agree with you both needing the sleep, good for milk supply too

KM sorry to hear about the hips, that must be very stressful for you. FX she won't need the brace.

Adden Ella was small when we left hospital 2.5kgs. The Peds told me to feed every 2-3hrs until she hit 3kgs, so I had to wake her and keep her awake to feed properly.

Will Ella take a bottle? Maybe you could express and she could have a bottle at night, it takes less energy for them to drink a bottle and apparently they will drink more because they haven't tired from using all their energy breastfeeding. It is also quick, but a pain in the rear having to express at night. I did that for awhile at night and Ella put on quite a lot if weight with the EBM.

Are Ella's hips bad KM or more of a precautionary? I took Zoe for an ultrasound too yesterday on hers. The MCN seemed concerned yet the doctor I got the referrel from and the ultrasound lady said 6 weeks can be too early to tell and that a follow up would e better at 12 weeks too. Apparently with a natural birth they can settle into place in time but I know you had a C sec so it's a different situation.

SL you are wonder mum! I don't know how you are functioning on that little sleep!

How has everyone's pets been since the babies came home? I've been surprised and rather proud of mine so far! I was concerned about our staffy bring rough and playful but she has been amazing! And te cats couldn't care less lol

Crafty Ella's right hip is fine, it's the left the Ped Sonographer said the left is rounded and it shouldn't be. Ped Sonographer told me it may resolve itself, so just need to wait for the next ultrasound. Hope Zoe's is ok as well.

Your GTT must be soon, mine is on Wednesday really not looking forward to it!

I was worried my Male Cat would run away! He hates children, but he loves her. My 21 year old female cat also loves her and also our Male Lab loves her as well

It sure is, I'll be there on Monday! I'm dreading it especially now I know what to expect. I hate blood tests and they always struggle getting blood from me, without even mentioning the drink!!

Does anyone know what the results need to come back under? Or what they should be if I was to do a finger test myself now?

The paed said if he isn't happy in 5 weeks with weight gain she has to take a bottle.. Not sure how, but hopefully it won't come to that!
When we left hospital she was 2.3kg and he Said I could let her go 4-5 hours overnight then!

With finger prick your reading should be at least under 8. I'm sure you already know but make sure you wash your hands first and get a decent amount of blood without having to squeeze too much for an accurate reading.
