I actually didnt mind how that plastic spoon mirror looked BUT it would look totally sh!thouse up close. I think from afar if you didnt know what it was it would be ok, but the second you realise its made from plastic spoons, you have entered bogan territory my friends.

For anyone who missed the spoon mirror, here it is...

I'm so glad I'm not alone thinking that her "art" looks terrible!
A lot of the time I see what she makes and I feel sad for anyone who replicates it.
Unless they plan to burn it afterwards.

Did anyone see those pencil earrings and necklaces she made? Yes, I like being stabbed in the neck by a rainbow.

See I look at that and then imagine it with 3 months' worth of dust on it and think how dirty it would look and how would you possibly clean it. But I guess "art" isn't meant to be practical.

Its made of plastic spoons....your choices are hit it with a hose or throw it out and make a new one for $2

But yes, I always think that when I see fancy ceiling lights. I think "yes its lovely, but f**k cleaning it"

    Oh thank goodness!

I wasn't going to read this thread because I thought from the title it was serious and it would cause too much eye rolling!

Default Better Homes & Gardens Tara 'appreciation' thread

    ME TOO!!

And then I saw FearlessLeader started it and I had to check because I thought maybe she had been possessed or something.

lol... I assumed the use of quotations around the word 'appreciation' were intended to indicate sarcasm, and was so glad my assumption was correct! DH & I love seeing what cr@p Tara makes each week. I missed that spoon mirror, & we were out last night so also missed the grater thing (definitely sounds dangerous!!!). I can't think of a 'favourite' right now... maybe the Egyptian themed bedroom?
