Rinehart does not control Fairfax. She has absolutely no power in Fairfax at all. She did though, waste a heap of her money buying some of their shares whilst they were still on a massive slide downhill. Fairfax is struggling.
Yes he does own that much of the print media.

And why people but that rubbish is beyond me. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. What's that saying..."is that the truth or was your news limited?"

Can you please show me evidence of him owning 75% of the media? He only owns about 30%.

What are his policies, which until the impending election consisted of no carbon tax and no mining tax Father? tax cuts for the rich, cuts to funding for the poor and cutting out the mining tax which isn't making any money... oh and cutting jobs in the public service lol no of course I don't like them, I'm socialist. I believe the distance between rich and poor should lessen, not increase. But I genuinely don't see how the above couple of policies is going to bring about a surplus? That's my logical side saying that, not my leftie side.

But I think some of the public has been swayed by Abbott's ability to jump on every tiny little mistake and stick his face on TV bagging the labor government. I actually don't see, and have failed to ever see, any real policy from Abbott, except to cut aid to the poor and reduce tax to the wealthy. A workable nationwide policy development that is not.... Cutting the mining tax? apparently it has made quite little anyway, so I don't see how that is going to put us in the black?

It's all just postulating with very little substance, and many are sold by it.
Opposition doesn't make policies so they don't need to come out with any, when it gets close to the election they will give details on what they plan to do. Technically we don't know what liberal are proposing in detail, this one sentence in this article isn't enough for me to form an opinion just yet.

Really? After the last election? Every seat truly does count, if you want to keep Liberal out a Greens vote won't help.

I know I've been voting for 16 years as a staunch labor voter and for the first time I'm truly confused what to do. I don't hate Gillard but her taking more money off single parents sealed it for me. So in conscience I don't know what to do now. Totally get what you are saying and was saying just this to DH who is also a leftie. Do I vote labor to keep Abbott out? or vote greens?

I just wish Rudd has overthrown Gillard, he was a good leader.
