Zeddie, I took DD (16 months) to rhyme-time at the library today. We generally make it on Monday and Thursday depending on morning sleeps. She loves it! Tomorrow we're going to catch the number 15 bus into the city to meet DH after work and go to the the hawker's market for a wander and a meal. Learning how to catch the bus is my 'new thing.' This will be the third bus I have ever caught in my life (apart from school excursions when I was a child.) Public transport freaks me out! Considering that we live so close the city and the buses are free, it seems sensible to learn how to catch a bus.

For things to do, I always check The West's Saturday TV mag for what's on in Perth every week. There's generally at least one good activity on somewhere close (lots of free things too) but I have thrown this week's out already.

I don't think so. I took DS to toddler fest there last year when he was around that age, he had a great time

Just wanted to share this fb page WA Perth Crime Report as I think it is very informative and can really help you know what to look out for when shopping etc to stay a bit safer as we know a lot of thieves are targeting us in the carparks. I know I am more cautious when loading up the car when I have the kids with now even at places I used to think were safe, thanks to this site I know a lot more of what is happening everyday in the suburbs.
