Bahaahaa - about the blank post - I've thought that before, then found I've double or triple posted....
I totally get the issue re: feeling hard to put yourself out there. A lot of our previous experiences shape how we do it again.
I am totally with you regarding the idea that bullying doesn't make you stronger. Sure some people think they're stronger, but that's because they come out different when they come out the other side.
The one thing I want to protect my kids from is bullying. Bullying can come in so many forms. I absolutely hate passive aggressive bullying. The type when something is said to you which seems on the outside to be "nice" but is really there to make you feel bad cos the other person wants to make themselves out to be the "victim" .
Leads me to the one line that stuck out in the Smurfs movie - Smurfette says "I don't really miss passive-aggressive smurf, he always made you feel nice when you were with him, but then you felt sad after" (or something like that). I've certainly met a lot of people who made me feel like that in both my highschool and adult life
