Well it's the end of day one and here's what I ate:
(Keeping in mind that the only meal I put any thought into was dinner; I was unprepared earlier because I only saw this whole bootcamp thread last night.)
So it's not that great, but not terrible.. just not very nutritious!
Breakfast- an Up n Go in the car on the way to dropping DS off at school.
Mid morning- Can of sugarfree Mother energy drink
    Lunch- 3 steamed DimSims
Arvo snack- 1 plum, 1 glass soda water and lemon juice
Dinner- whole meal pasta spag bol with extra lean beef mince, 1 glass Pepsi max
Oh yeah, and another Up n Go after dinner.

Needs much improvement. Tomorrow will be better

Default Re: Day one- It starts with changing the little things...

A great after dinner treat - try a frozen banana - peel, then freeze wrapped in glad wrap - tastes like icecream

One if the easier changes to make to your diet is to increase your veg intake to at least 3 cups per day (not potato, peas, corn, sweet potato tho - stick to fibrous veg as much as possible) and include a protein source at every meal.

I have heard about the frozen banana thing and have to try it!

Yeah my meals and fluid intake yesterday were pretty dismal, but I'm ready today

Ok. Time for me to get back on track. 10 kgs to loose- hoping I can join in. I cleared out the cupboards last night (by eating all the biscuits and crap )

im interested in cutting out sugar (aside from fresh fruit) but haven't really dieted before aside from body trim about 6 months ago- which didn't work long term. I've decided removing the sugars with the fruit exception and looking at proper portion size will be the way to start for me. Then when that's on track ill try to increase exercise- which I suck at.

on the proper portion size thing- I was shocked to find that a serve of pasta is only 1 cup of cooked pasta. I usually eat about 4 in a normal serve

this morning I've started with an egg on whole wheat toast and a glass of milk. Planning fruit for morning snack and a chicken salad for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet.

If you slice some bananas on a plate and put in freezer for few hours then blend it with beaters it actually turns to ice cream, my children treat it like a science project.

Feeling deflated. Yesterday was a baaaad day for me. The whole diet thing went out the window.
But today is a new day. I can't be bothered cooking real food yet, still feeling flat and mopey, so I've just had a sachet of Slim and Trim diet shake from Aldi (bought them to replace all the Up n Go's for times like these when I can't handle solid food) with light milk.

    Day 4, week 1

    Breakfast- diet shake, banana

Lunch-1 egg, mushrooms, tomato on wholemeal toast with avocado

Snack- 4 Belvita oat biscuits- found these in the back of my cupboard from ages ago- they really sustained and filled me up, I was so surprised!

Dinner- homemade vegetable soup with cabbage, spinach, capsicum, mushrooms, tomato, celery and onion.
Also had four little pork meatballs that I made for the kids dinner. Had to try them, of course!

    Snack #2- apple.

Exercise- well the fact that I stood in the kitchen over a hot stove making 3 separate meals whilst cleaning the kitchen (DH had his "fake" chicken tonight, bugger) in 35 degree heat for close on 6 hours, I may have lost a kilo in sweat alone hahaha...

Tomorrow will be a mild 24, will definitely go for a long walk with DD in the pram.
