I have a friend that always writes things like -

Welcomed our beautiful baby "Johnny Smith" to the world today!

    Or

Happy birthday little "Julie Smith" hope you had a lovely day!

I'm not sure why she writes names like this & I even googled it once to see if there was a reason and I just didn't know about it but it didn't come up with much, any ideas?

    A small irritant I have.

Grammar gurus, is the word 'Oops' spelled 'oops' or 'opps?'

I have someone on my facey who spells the word 'opps' all the time.

It looks wrong to me. But is it?

    Definitely OOps (or whoops)

I'm pretty sure opps is the autocorrect version.

I think it is 'oops' as two o's make an 'oo' sound if that makes sense. I've got an "opps" friend on FB as well and it drives me crazy!!

So annoying! My MIL does that too. Or puts quotes around Happy Birthday. It makes it sound insincere.
