I have been told so many times that this is correct apparently because it's happened in the past 'I seen' or 'I done' is perfectly correct.

Please someone shoot me now. I don't want to live in a world populated by this much dumb!

Don't you mean "I been told"?

Reading this thread is exhausting. I read every post carefully, in the hopes of catching someone out. I was also scared to post, but felt the need to share some things that annoy me.

I've noticed many people using "then" instead of "than". E.g. "Better late then never".

There is another similar one that I can't remember at the moment. It's like the "his"/"he's" one. I think it has something to do with the use of the word "has" incorrectly.

I'm also not a fan of "I've got". Why not just say "I have", as in "I have a ball" or (if past tense) "I got a ball". I'd never say "I have got a ball".

I'm pretty sure that I've written "I balled my eyes out". Oops - I hate it when I have brain f@rts!

Yes! Seen/saw is my biggest gripe. I want to correct every damn person that uses it wrong. It's not hard, I'm an idiot & I get it

I just remembered. It's when people use "could of" instead of "could have". It drives me insane! I suppose it's because "could've" can sound like "could of" when you say it.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I nearly didn't join it because of that title! I've posted in threads before asking the mods to change titles when they've had mistakes (spelling or grammar).
