I disagree, commas are often overused. Each sentence is talking about one topic/subject only so no need to use a comma.

On this, I'd just like to vent about a particular Uni lecturer who would always move my commas to other parts of the sentence. A comma indicates where the author intends you to pause, thereby where to add emphasis etc. Don't move my freaking comma unless it's grammatically incorrect!!

Btw I don't think the book requires commas but personally I would have added them after the first line on each page given that that's how I personally read it and added stress and emphasis.

Went to a Chinese restaurant to pickup dinner for dad tonight and they had a sign up about returning your take away if you are 'un-happy' with it. They had several other errors that I can't remember now including a comma in the middle of a sentence that made no sense.. I wish I had my phone on me at the time to take a picture and post it here.

I do too. I'm a proud pedant, but I love a bit of Engrish

    This sentence is wrong, right?

'JULIA Gillard gives her first interview after surviving the leadership showdown to Kyle Sandilands.'

Doesn't this imply she and Kyle had a leadership showdown (even though this would be terrible grammar also)? Or am I too pedantic?
