Ladies, if you were given an option to whether use or not use Crinone, which one would you choose? I realise Crinone is horrible and has many sideeffects, but doesnt it at the same time give a bit of peace of mind? I was told my progesteron levels are fine so I dont need to use it on my frozen non medicated cycle, but I do normally get light bleeding few days before the actual period so Im so paranoid.... What would you do?

I opted for pregnyl boosters instead of crinone as I hated crinone so much. Much prefer the boosters, take away the temptation to test early, too!

i wasnt really given any options... In fact I was told not to use anything, its only when I mentioned my early bleedings to the nurse she said something along the lines of - " you can use crinone of you think it will give you a peace of mind" meaning they dont think I need to use it, but I can if I want.... Now , I dont really want to suffer from its sideeffects .....hmmm... Not sure what to do

I'd use it. Better be safe than sorry. If I had no option I would have used it

    Hi ladies,

what sort of side effects have you had from using Crinone?. I only used it for about 5days on my first cycle as AF turned up and a blood test proved BFN. I only used it for 3 days this time as that's as long as it took them to confirm a freeze all cycle. I am going to use it on my FET cycle in a about a month so I was wondering what all these side effects you are talking about are?

    - really sore breasts
    - moodiness/emotional/teary

That's actually about it, but it made me so depressed!

Also it was gross, with clumps falling out and it was just unpleasant really.

They are just delightful aren't they. All of my very supportive friends who have already had kids often make the comment that once you go through labour you have no shame anymore. I always think to myself that they really have no idea what you go through on IVF, they complain about one internal ultrasound while us ladies are going through a couple a week. I'm now super fast at getting my pants on and off, steel cap boots and all when I call in on the way to work.

You can always spot the IVF girls- they take their pants off straightaway!

Definitely not afraid of internal anythings anymore!
