Default Can estrogen saliva tests really be used as preggo tests?

    Hi ladies,

I'm on 5-6dpo and I'm seeing conflicting information. One part of the internet says 'Yes, you can,' while another part says there's an estrogen peak that covers at least a week in the second half of your cycle. I've got some ferning on my saliva test and my doctor has ordered a blood test (results come in tomorrow) but I'm already getting impatient already Is it possible?

My fertility doctor said they were an absolute waste of money and referred to the maybe baby tests as rubbish (in pinpointing ovulation).

As for being used as pregnancy tests I highly doubt they would be reliable. Blood tests (done at the correct time) would be better.

Good luck! Hope you get pregnant

*sighs* I was afraid someone would say that. Leading up to my ovulation, I had full and partial ferning at random times and it didn't pinpoint my ovulation at all. It was wishful thinking
