We have a heartbeat! ! Woohoo! Heartbeat was 126bpm. However Bub is measuring a bit small at 6 weeks 1 day when it shouldve been 6 weeks 6 days. I wouldn't see this as a problem except it's an ivf baby and we know it pretty much should b spot on. In my last mc the baby was measuring 2 wks behind, so it's hard not to worry. I didn't have my fs do the scan as he's in bne and I'm in Cairns. I know there can sometimes be a difference in measuring. There usually was with lining. And when we're talking a couple of millimetres here. ...

Anyway, I can go for another scan in a week or so for peace of mind. Hold on and grow little one! !

StillHope.... welcome - you'll find yourself at home here - there's lots of lovely women, even though we have two main things in common - IVF and age :-)) Have you been close in any of your cycles?

Micca your comment about a cougar party in a Petrie dish cracked me up.
Springrain good luck with Saturdays transfer, this thread seems to churn out a few pregnancies so good luck. No one talks at my clinic either, I dont think it's the done thing. I have spoken to a few girls whilst coming to after egg collection and I'm usually in a drug induced daze so who knows if I make any sense.
Musical, fantastic that you have a heart beat, it's such a special experience that the little bean continues to do what it's supposed to do.
Mgcbertie it's always interesting to hear of various protocols, which clinic are you with?
Welcome Stillhope, are you in Sydney? Trying to work out who Dr M is.

Thanks MGC for welcoming me :-)
we had 8 transfers where 2 embryos stayed for around 9 weeks, but the others left us straight away.
I have also 1 daughter, she is now 15 which I conceived naturally.
    Don't know how I did that :-)

with all my transfers I felt like I'm getting a cold. Flu-like symptoms. That's why I hope now with the immune protocol it actually should work (or I hope so) :-)

where are you at? Any luck so far?

TeamPanda.... I'm at IVFAustralia, but my first two cycles were at Next Generation, as well as I've had consults at Fertility First, so have a much better knowledge now of what I need or am looking for :-)) The Dr M that others are talking about is Dr Mathiaus, who seems to be THE FS to see for natural killer cells and implantation issues. I've never had enough transfers to even get to that stage. I have heard he has a long waiting list, but have heard that he has great success.

Stillhope.... a quick look at my signature will show you that I've had no success, so hoping that this cycle might be better - so far, so good.

    Default Hi Everyone

I hope it is ok to join you young girls over 40, I am about to go through IVF for the first time, trying really hard not to get too excited.

    Any advice?

Kenta, I'll be using pregnyl for support, plus maybe a few leftover progesterone pessaries.

Stillhope, welcome, and good luck for your cycle with Dr. M

Musical, well done on the heartbeat

Tinybaby, hello and welcome! Good luck for your cycle, hope you get lots of lovely mature eggs. My tips are: drink lots of water during stims, take it easy after EPU, and remember that many FS use the first cycle as a bit of a test run to see how you respond, and what the results are. for some great results!
