    Musical, Good luck for tomorrow

Emski, I'm doing another stimulated FET, and I think TeamPanda is joining us too, and FingersCrossed, with her DP. I watched the clip on your FS, hope some of the good luck will rub off. I've also gone back to the book you recommended (The Fertility Plan) as I am assuming I will be doing a full stim in August or Sept at this stage.

    Hi to everyone else

AFM - I think the pervasive sense of anxiety I've had has been due to my FS being away for my last cycle, I felt much more relaxed once I heard her voice on my voicemail this morning I picked up meds yesterday and have been jabbing away starting this morning.

In preparation for a stim in August or Sept, have ramped up DH's supplements (he isn't too thrilled, but I'm taking more than him), and mine in preparation. I've lost a few extra kg as well which is making me feel good: I was told I have a thinner face and no more turkey neck on the weekend so am feeling reasonably good for an "old bag"

Glad to hear your fertility specialist is back spring rain, that must be putting your mind at ease. I forgot all about the fertility plan book it was on my old ipad and I can't transfer it over to my android tablet!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one cycling in July, it will be good to have some buddies.

    Em x

Just got back from a few days in the bush and catching up with everyones posts. Lots going on.
Good luck to the girls going to SA, Im sure you will get the success you are looking for, as from what I see donor eggs work more often than not. My relative had 3 donor eggs transferred overseas last year and all 3 took! She had undergone 8 or 9 stims and had very bad egg quality. So now she is the mother of triplets.
MGC Bertie, yes I am starting number 8, will be having blood test tomorrow morning to see if Im ready to go. I see you’re not far behind me. Ive had all the tests and yes I do get good numbers, but the only one that worked was my first ivf cycle and the baby had trisomy 13. My FS believes its egg quality and really the only thing left to do is to try pgd, again. We have done everything. Saizen, menopaur, pregnyl, endometrial scratch, you name it Ive done it.
I share the same FS as Emski and basically she thinks that its likely I am similar to her other ‘older’ patient who was on ‘Sunday’ the other night. That lady had 17 transfers, when they did pgd it was something like 1 normal embryo out of 10, and that one implanted. We tried Pgd in January but at day 5 they could only biopsy one and we lost some of the others. It seemed that my embryos were too fragile for the biopsy. So the only thing we haven’t done is a freeze all and do a FET. And basically try day 3 pgd, which from what I understand, the embryos are stronger?
My acupuncturist mentioned sperm dna fragmentation test? Has anyone here done this? Apparently costs $500.
Im glad to be able to share this next cycle with some buddies too. I really don’t know what this one is going to bring. Each negative becomes harder and harder to deal with.
    x

Hi panda yes it does get harder with each negative, especially when you keep throwing more and more at it. Do you mind me asking how much the testing cost that Lynn was talking about on the show? Is cgh testing? It's something DH and I briefly discussed, I'm under the impression its about $7k... a lot to add to a cycle, but if it eliminates FETS that would never work it might be a good investment?

Hi Micca how you travelling along, any ms? Have you had another ultrasound or BT?

Team panda, Emski, Sprigrain and Bertie good luck with your upcoming cycle.

    DJ, is AF here yet?

I have tried many things over my ivf cycles except for pgd, I guess mostly because of the low no. of embryos i have about two left on day 3 and have only had a blastie tx once and that was the last surviving one from five embies. So wld you pgd with couple of embryos or take a chance with tx? The lady for eg who had 17 ivfs said tbat if that testing was available earlier it may have saved her grief and $$ so Iam guessing she had good fert rates?

Hi everyone, still having issues with my posts, darn it. The problem is that whilst im writing a post, I cant 'return/enter' to start a new line...so everything is just one long paragraph...not great for personals! This might be a stupid question but does anyone know how to fix it? Its not my 'return/enter' button, as it works in other programs...its just posting on BH. Please know that I am reading your posts and thinking of you all on your journeys. AFM - 5th day of Lucrin and commence progynova, aspirin and prednisolone tomorrow. I finish work on Friday and then have another week before flying out. Have been working my butt off exercising...its been damn hard, but I have lost 8 kgs and hoping for another 2 before we fly out....may be a big ask that last 2!! Hope you are all well.

The video clip was very interesting, but as usual I tend to get upset, frustrated and annoyed all at once with those type of things. The testing that Lyn B is doing does seem great, but for me, and no doubt others, it's probably not worth it, when we're lucky to get one embryo to Day 5. Definitely see the advantage if you had more than one to choose from. Anything to increase success rates would be good :-))

AFM... well, here I was thinking I still had a couple of days to go, when I get some nice spotting this afternoon, so it looks like AF will begin properly in 24 hours, and then it will be action stations - ring the clinic, BT and gets meds. Quite excited. Still suffering from a horrible cough and blocked nose, so hoping that that's not going to interfere with me starting meds. AF is hardly ever early, so wondering whether rubbing all this Testosterone Gel into my hand has helped her get a move along?

Hi Ann...thanks for asking, AF is here! Had my first lucrin shot tonight and start progynova tomorrow.
So excited! Hope our egg donor does well. We are her 5th recipient couple so after us she can only do one more donation. Hope our sperm donor has great swimmers! So many obstacles to overcome. Anyway, just ate a packet of Snickers Pods.
Sunny...I think you gave me the 8kgs hun!!

    Hi everyone

Gosh this thread moves fast at times (that's a good thing, means lots of us have things going on ).

Good luck to those beginning another round of stims. And special to those heading to SA soon.

(Sunny I have the same problem with putting in line returns when I post from home, but no problems when I'm posting on work time/computers ).

AFM still trundling along....will be 12wks on Friday. Am going to have to tell people soon as my clothes are all tight and I'm getting a tummy-pooch.
