Hi Springrain, sorry that it was BFN, you are so lucky to have some frosties that you can try with. You have 3 more chances and possibilities right there in the freezer. But it's also good to be mentally prepared to have to do another stim, just in case. And I think stock piling while you can is also good. You are still definitely in the race.
As for me, I had a day 21 blood test today to start synarel but my levels are still low. I'm going in Wednesday to do bloods again as I'm away, thought this was a bit late but nurse seems to think its fine. Can't believe I'm going straight into another stim.
I have opened my mind to the possibility of DE, but not quite ready yet.

springrain, I'm so sorry about your news. I'm glad you have some frozens. My FS seems to think FET do better than fresh transfers so I'm thinking about whether it's better to freeze and do a FET in a new cycle as have never succeeded with a fresh transfer when we try again in a few months.

I'm a bit ambivalent about DHEA so have started on one a day as have read that it may cause fibroids to grow. Also back on the melatonin.

Reading all the donor embryo posts on this site has got me thinking more and more and encouraged. Thank you to all of you for sharing your experience and knowledge and I am coming around to the idea that even though they are not biologically yours, you can still influence that child with your care.

springrain...sorry about the BFN..sigh... no matter how many you have each one has its own individual pain. lets hope that your frozens do the trick...

hang in their kiddo...sounds like you just have to convince DH about the donor option... and you have that option of having a biological child with your traits..

sorry to read your update Springy - its never easy.
I'm going well, thank you for asking. Just waiting for AF so I can start cycling... could be late as I had a D&C (diagnostic) last week.
My DP is a bit hesitent about donor eggs too - i'm fine with it, but even he has said he just needs a bit of time to come to terms with the idea. We saw our new IVF counsellor this week and had a very good discussion about what our next moves are... we agreed to cycle as much as we can this year with my new Fs and then if unsuccessful we will move to DE. have you had much counselling with your DH? It could open the conversation... anyway sorry for the ramble - but know my thoughts are with you xx

Springrain...Sorry to hear of your BFN. Really is a hard road. Takes a bit of time to pick yourself up, shake yourself off and get ready for the next part of the journey. Hope you are doing ok.

    Sunny...See you in cape Town

AFM...Counting down the sleeps till Sth Africa. I am trying so hard to make this trip all about the holiday and not IVF but the closer it gets the more real it becomes. I took my last ocp last night so waiting for AF (Haven't seen her since December!!). Then start lucrin jabbing. Interesting, my FS here, never put me on Lucrin!

Anyway, hugs to you all, lots of baby dust!

Springrain... so sorry to hear of your BFN. It's just heartbreaking to do all those drugs and procedures and think that it's going to work, only for it to stop suddenly. Just two years ago I knew nothing of this IVF business, and now am constantly shaking my head at all the battles being fought each and every day in this community. I so feel for you.

Teampanda... good luck on your next cycle. I see you're starting number 8 now, is that right? Good on you, you're an inspiration to keep my dream going. I see you've had lots of transfers, so ahead of me in that game, but only one BFP. So you can get embryos, which is great - have they mentioned what's stopping them implanting and getting to the next stage?

You can also influence the child genetically through epigenetics. Your body will essentially dictate which and how certain genes are expressed. Remember- the actual baby is also made with your flesh and blood- which also influences the new little person.

Springrain, sorry to hear your news. Sucks to have a disappointment. Hope the next one is the ONE.

Exciting times for many here- best wishes.
