Fort- my first cycle with donor eggs was also positive but no heartbeat at 7 weeks so understand where you are at. I had to wait 3 months to cycle again even though wanted to go straight away. Hope your next transfer is as successful as mine hon

Sunny- another tip I forgot was to get DH to leave sample on day you have lining scan. That way if god forbid you have to do another fresh cycle you have the option to go yourself for shorter time cutting cost. They are quite strict with what they freeze

Unfortunately there is always going to be life stresses, Sagitwist, - The trick is to manage it. Yoga, breathing exercises, massage, running, laughing, etc etc. Sounds straight forward but they are the first things we all forget, or don't make time to do. Best of luck. I'm sure you'll find a stress reliever soon. Hope your ankle recovers quickly.

    Hi Fort

Thank you for summing it up so beautifully. I achieved a pregnancy with my day 5 blastocyst and I miscarried and was told by my doctor that even though I had great results they were due to the added hgh and not my body (which along with other ivf related stuff has left a $7,000 dent in my credit card). He doesnt have the heart in it and he encouraged me to look at DE. It is still something I am coming to terms with but Im 44 in a month or so, so it's time.

    Hello everyone.

Quick update, appointment with the shrink this thursday arvo to chat about how "we are feeling" with the thought of my DP using my eggs and the legalities that go with all of that. Looking forward to getting this part over and done with....

Hi Fingerscrossed I dont know if this relates to your situation - DH and I had to have an appointment with a shrink to get approval to do our last ivf in May (its a legal requirement in Victoria). Our shrink gave us spoke about the emotional side of ivf and we had to keep a straight face as we knew way more than her and waaaaay more than we wanted to know about this topic!

On the flip side I think Therapy is a great thing for IVF. I am thinking of seeing one just to be able to talk through what to do next - not so the therapist can tell me what to do but so I can clarify things in my own mind.

    Good luck!

Fingers, good luck for you and DP this Thursday.

Sagi, hope you can find something that helps with stress. Mrs P suggested yoga, I find that it does help, though I am really bad at some parts, especially the "lie still and be quiet" part

Hope everyone has had a great start to the week!

AFM - had transfer yesterday, the blastie was slow to thaw but came good in the end. So now just to wait...
