Just a question because I am confused, how much e2 does your specialist like per egg to classify it as mature? My clinic likes 1000 per egg, is your clinic the same?
OK I asked someone who knows about this sort of stuff.
1000 is typical for young eggs. Older eggs may only make 500.

Big congrats Fortitude and Micca. I often lurk in this thread and am amazed at the ongoing stamina and strength of you ladies. I am so happy for you ladies and have often been following your journeys. We were also planning on going down the ED route if this last repeat cycle offered by our FS didnt work out. By some extreme miracle it actually worked and we are now 15 weeks.

    Thanks Fort for that info.

    I am scheduled for retrieval Friday. E2 today was 2900 and yesterday it was 1600 with follicles ranging from 2 @ 8mm, 1 @ 11mm, 1 @ 13 mm, 1 @ 15mm, 1 @ 16mm,1 @ 18mm.

I have no idea if thats good, bad or otherwise because clinic is always tight-lipped.

Hopefully on Sat I will be PUPO and with a confirmed BFP 2 weeks later (I can dream).

    Good luck everyone x

I decided that my fresh cycle last month would be my last. I was resigned that it would fail and I could close my IVF chapter. Then got hopes up as I got pregnant. Then hopes dashed as I miscarried. Then got my hopes up again as it proved that I could get prego. They were dashed again 2 days ago when I saw my lovely FS at Monash IVF who said he didn't "have his heart" in another cycle for me.

Then I saw Fortitude and Miccas lovely news. As my FS said, "it's all about the outcome". As Micca said, something to the effect of it (source of the eggs) doesn't matter as at the end of the day it's your baby. Now I am happy to say we have decided to jump off the IVF roller coaster and look into a Donor Egg cycle too.

Thanks Sunny15, Micca, Fortitude and everyone else for sharing your DE (not to mention IVF) stories and helping me find my way. x
