Gah...work!! I can't even imagine that right now, so glad my doc put me on strict bed rest (would rather not the rupture of course) cause I don't have to attempt work for 1 more week, maybe 2. Even without the rupture I don't know how people do it! Or concentrate! Although I am on crazy high meds too and feel like I've had period cramps going on 6 weeks now (since EPU) due to the high dose progesterone.
Good luck working you poor thing! xx

Hi lissy. Yeah loving being home and off work, I'm going to really enjoy this for the next 12 months!
Boobies are ok, had a but of cracking happening at the start but they have healed over and are all good now. Managing to produce a little more milk, being taking motilium and now onto the lactation cookies, but still not getting anymore than 60mls per expression so I don't think I'll ever be able to get Sofia off the formula which is a shame but at least she is still getting some breast milk so it's ok.

More bed rest hey. At least you are doing everything you can for your healthy little bub so just sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity

So I just got back from seeing Dr Flynn. My spotting was getting worse & I was getting anxious so they got me to go in. We still have a heartbeat & bub has grown but I have a large blood cot sitting outside the baby's sac which can irritate the uterus & worst case cause miscarriage so I am now too on bed rest to get it to heal. Having another scan Thursday before Flynny goes on leave. He is still confident with fact still heartbeat & sickness but a little less confident than last scan. He said he's had girls go full term with same thing & IVF clinic girls said it can be common. Just feel like poo

    Hey Ladies

Kate- My tubes needed to be removed because of he Hydros (blockages) mostly caused from my endo they believe. Dr O was confident that there was nothing of use left and that they may be dripping toxic fluid into my uterus and possibly washing away my embys.. It was a hard decision but after seeing pics of how messed up and how blocked they were it was def the right decision. My endo had also fused my ovaries behind my uterus and to my bowel etc so when they did the first EPU it inflamed the whole area, hence 7kg weight gain and hospital visit. Anywho, its all better now.

3 days in to my meds and just light headaches and a bit hard to concentrate. So far so good..

It must be hard for you ladies with MS. You finally get ur BFP and cant even celebrate cause your too busy being sick! I hope you all feel better soon!

Lissy Lou- I read the amount of meds you are on a day and nearly fell off my chair. WOW! Would nearly be a full time job taking them all.

Lovedup I only had 1 transferred as Dr seems to think I have no issue getting pregnant but staying pregnant so risk of transferring 2 for me would be too high (twins are more riskier) so they never want to transfer more than 1 for me.

Both the Dr who did my surgery & O'Dowd who I used to have both didn't want to touch my tubes. Mine are both totally blocked too. IVF was first invented for girls with blocked tubes.

My sis-in-law has a gf who just did her first cycle & reacted to something in the stimulation period & put on 30kg in a week - that is insane. She can't do transfer until everything settles down.

Wow 30kg puts my 7kg to shame! Lol And yeah Im feeling as though 1 is the right number for me but that could be just because Im scared....

I just read your other post and hope after some bed rest you will feel much better and your body will be all healed up and ready to grow this baby!! How far along are you? - It must have put your mind at ease to hear the heartbeat after being worried about the spotting.

Lovedup, I started putting 2 in as soon as they would let me! So last 4 cycles. It took me 11 cycles (including 3 iui's, so 6th stim, 8th ivf transfer) to fall preg for 1st time, with only 1 chem on way. So unlike Kate I had huge issues falling preg (turned out to be immune stuff). So I guess we all have our reasons, with so many cycles up my belt it seemed unlikely even 1 embie would take, and twins didn't scare me at all as I had no history of miscarriage (as never been preg before!). So we felt it would be a miracle for 1 to take (and a huge blessing with 2 also, bring it on!), I even wanted 3 this time lol! Reason being we had 1 early blastie, 1 compacting morula, and 1 morula, and due to egg quality issues how do you know which of those will still be alive 1 or 2 days later anyway? Ours had started to die between day 2 to 4 after EPU in previous 3 cycles and we kept panicking and putting them in early. However new fs convinced us to wait this time and see what was there on day 5, better to know if they survived than transfer embies with not much hope and a tww with nearly zero chance.
Anyway this time we had a miracle as on day 4 we were told all had stopped growing and not expect a transfer on day 5. We grieved ever having our own biological children that night as it would have been 3 cycles in a row like this. We researched donor eggs, and had accepted that other options were the next step for us. Then lo and behold we called next morn (were told just to call to confirm it wasn't happening) and we had the absolute shock of 3 embies that had somehow miraculously started thriving!! So of course I wanted to throw them all in incase any didn't survive freeze if grown to blastie next day! But we were only allowed the best 2, which turned out to be all we needed cause out of those 2 we are now UTD with one beautiful baby!!😘✨
The other was not good enough quality the next day to survive freezing (eventhough I think it did make it to early blast). I also don't worry so much about 2 as things like chromosomal issues arise, so if 2 take one still might have issues and not survive early pregnancy. So I feel like eventhough they say you are not more likely of falling pregnant with 2, I feel you have a better chance of 1 of those 2 being healthy. And we are wanting 3-4 kids, so would be thrilled with twins (although that might change once we actually have a bubby in the house lol...we're dreamin big!!✨🙏✨)

Oh Kate...you just can't catch a break right now! Your awful ms and now this clot...are you on clexane or aspirin (both blood thinners)? Has it been suggested to try to breakdown the clot? Not sure if they can start you on that if you didn't start cycle on it though. But the clot is outside the amniotic sack right? So same as my rupture (which is a dark long tear that can be seen on the ultrasound screen). And as long as it's outside the sack and in the uterus itself there is every reason it will dissolve (just like my tear will heal). I know someone on BH who had a massive clot, was literally passing golf ball size things, was hospitalized cause of it and is now all good at about 18-20 weeks i think. We just need super strict bed rest. I've also been put on 1/2 valium 4 times a day as it's a muscle relaxant to keep uterus calm (my fs is old school so no judgement please😉) - the benefits outweigh the risks sometimes with medication.
I know you must be so scared kate, I felt exactly the same - the words 'threatened miscarriage', rupture, tear (especially with your history)...it scared the living hell out of me. But you get those feet up, get waited on hand and foot by hubby, family...and you WILL make it through Kate!! Are you using those positive affirmations that helped you so much in early days (I know must be hard with your ms...but now you're stuck on bed rest maybe you will have time!)
I am 8 weeks today and so happy to be this far...after a week of bed rest I have calmed down a lot after the diagnosis...the valium is probably helping that lol...And now you've got this issue I reckon going in for a weekly scan would not be too much to ask for peace of mind. So don't be scared to ask for that, you have been through so much and I'm sure your doc will realise that you keeping calm and feeling safe will help you to be at rest at home.
Sending lots of love and health to you, bub and hubby xxxxxx 😘😘😘
