Sorry I haven’t been posting, I’ve been reading along but haven’t had time to actually sit and write something as it has all been a bit hectic here, so bear with me while I try and catch up J

Lissy – I’m over the moon for you that you’ve seen a positive, I can only imagine how you must be feeling after the journey you have been on. Happy dance!!! I’m keeping everything crossed for you to have lovely high numbers on Friday, ahhhh the torture of adding a day on by accident, but number wise that day will be good to you! I was sorry to have read about your cat, I lost my cat a few years back and took it very badly, they really are a huge part of our family. I think blog writing would be good for you, and if you decide to do it and make it public I would love to read it.

Kate – Glad to hear you are feeling sick (with morning sickness not your head cols) if you know what I mean. Good luck tomorrow I can’t wait to read back about your numbers. And yea you were right I had serious cramping before my BFP, and spotting!

TK – Hope Kate is doing ok with the GD, there are still some treats you can have that are very low in sugar. I can let you know if you are interested. Sorry but I had a little giggle at your weight gain, sooo cute!! DH actually put on more than me during the pregnancy haha!!

Goldie – Eeeeep your date has come along quickly, so excited for you to meet your little girl, it is an out of this world feeling. Enjoy your last days of pregnancy, you really do miss it a little after as wierd as that sounds.

Betty, Mummy2be I hope you are both travelling well and growing bigger by the day, at least it’s cooling down A LOT!!

Fullofhope thinking of you hun, hope you are ok!!

AFM – Well 2 weeks I fell over while carrying Isabelle, she was absolutely fine I was holding on very tightly, but unfortunately I tore the ligaments in my ankle so have been in a moon boot since, bummer that we have a two story house, but never mind. Then sadly we found out that Isabelle has hip dysplasia, which is when the hip socket is shallow and the ball doesn’t sit in it properly, this was from her being breech, so we had to have her put in a full body splint (over her shoulders, down her back, and hooking over her thighs holding her legs in a frog position so her hips are right in the socket). She will be wearing it for approximately 6-12 weeks, she isn’t in any pain from her hips, but has been unsettled since being in her brace. The splint should correct the problem for good (fingers crossed 95% success rate) so that is fantastic J But I didn’t take it so well at first, well actually I sobbed solid for about 2 days, but I’ve sucked it up now!! Things have been challenging, none of her clothes fitted over her brace so we had to get some more, same with nappies, I had to learn new positions to breast feed and had problems bringing her close enough to latch, and as she is quite rigid even cuddling was hard L We’ve re learnt everything now, DH was amazing as we have no family here so felt pretty alone, but all is well now. We meet the specialist tomorrow and will find out more then, fingers crossed all is well.
And then mean me took Isabelle for her 6 week jabs, her cry was horrible, and yep I cried a little too – sissy!! Wow I rambled.... apologies I hope I didn’t sound too moany, i know in the big scheme of things this is nothing, all I want is for her to be better, and before we know it she (hopefully) will be.

Wow Jen that sounds like a pretty tough intro to motherhood! Both you and bub having some health issues is horribly unfair! You don't sound moany at all, you sound very brave and stoic -- much more so than I would be! I hope you and Isabelle are all fixed up ASAP. Glad you found the time to post. Xoxo

Oh Jen what a pain!!! All those things all at once too. It would be hard seeing your precious little daughter in a brace. I hope those weeks go quickly so you are back cuddling your soft bundle without that in the way soon. Hugs xxx The world only puts us through what we can handle so you must be one strong last!!

Lissy - I am waiting for my morning stick!!!

Jen, just want to say I am inspired by how you are handling it all!! What a great mummy you are!! Life throws us lemons and we gotta make lemonade, and you are learning how to cope with it all with such courage. I can't imagine how hard it must be to see your little one in any pain, but I too have seen those little braces on babies who have turned out just fine. She is so young and won't remember a thing, just that her parents love her and have made sure she gets the best treatment possible. Hope your foot gets better soon too!! You are a trooper! I reckon after journeys like ours it would take a lot to break you. Tears, struggling & learning to cope are natural and mean you are human! You are a super mum!

Thanks for your kind words about our little guy Rocky. I haven't written back to everyone with regards to my long posts as my head has been caught up in pee sticks for past 48hrs!! Got to work today, so will post replies tomorrow at home. I think only those who have truly loved an animal can understand, while others probably think I'm a crazy cat lady lol! I have started my book in the days immediately after it happened when i couldn't sleep and almost written 10,000 words already! Will see about the blog this weekend I think, but won't put the whole story on in incase I get published!!! Lol...no I just really want to finish it for myself and would love to have anyone who wanted to to read it. I'd love for you to read it when it's done!! And the blog too if it goes ahead, I just need to research a bit about the best formats.
Love and good (improving) health to you and bub xx
