    Hi girls,

So I got my results back and it's not good news........ HCG is only 174 up from 133 on Thursday and progesterone hasn't increased from 30. Need to have BT again on Thursday but they said it doesn't look like things have progressed.

I'm devastated....... and totally lost. DH & I have no idea what to do next...... do we change FS or clinic, do I need extra support, is there something else going on in my body that I dont' know about. The unknown is both frustrating and scary.

Oh Kate I don't know what to say, apart from I'm praying that your results say something different on Thursday. Hugs. This is really unfair.

You def need some more answers, and perhaps a bit more of an investigation. Have you had much done?

    Thinking of you x

    Hey Jen,

What do you mean by have I had much done? I had my 2nd & most recent lap surgery in Nov 2011 which revealed that I have blocked tubes from severe endo. O'Dowd doesn't seem to think my endo is an issue. At our last meeting after our last failed cycle he mentioned that if things didn't work he may refer me to a specialist surgeon to do another lap surgery. Guess we'll see what he says after Thursday.

Oh Kate... While this isn't conclusively bad news I can only imagine how devastated you would be right now, you so deserve for this to be the one!

Jen may also have been wondering about amh, NK cells -- did you get those tested?

Can I also ask -- has your FS been changing things from cycle to cycle? Dr Ong has said a few times how lots of FSs just do the same thing over and over and expect different results. He said that you may eventually get pregnant but that it will probably take more cycles than if you're a bit more proactive/ aggressive. I know I was glad after my chemical and low blasty numbers last cycle that he changed two things -- added Luveris and Hcg support.

I'm so hoping this is all moot and that your emby is just taking their time. xoxo

    Hey Betty

Had my AMH tested last year & it was 9.3 FS not overally concerned. What are NK cells?

My FS is Dr O'Dowd & is very old school - doesn't believe in adding anything extra (at some seminar last year the consensus was that it doesn't help apparently). I'm really worried about this as I obviously want to get pregnant sooner rather than later. Would you suggest changing FS??

NK = 'Natural Killer' cells. Something to do with T-cells (immune) that have gone haywire and treat the embryo like an invader. My FS suspected I had this because of my previous miscarriages and my generally poor immune system (endo can be an indicator of a malfunctioning immune system too). I had a hysteroscopy (they basically swab the uterus at cd21) at the same time as a lap. My results were at the high end of normal (14, where 15 and above is high) and Dr O put me on 10mg/ day of prednisolone as a precaution.

If I had been with the same clinic for numerous cycles and had no luck (and your age and amh are good) then I think I would be seeing what my options were. Of course I'm part of the Dr Ong fan club now, but like I said -- we had issues and he changed things accordingly, and I am really grateful that he did.

    Xoxo

Kate, I'm sorry that things are not looking so good. Fingers crossed for your next lot of results. I'm also a huge fan of Dr Ong.
I don't really have any suggestions on things to try I'm sorry, I really don't know much about it all.

AFM - I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes yesterday...yay me! So now I have to check my BSL 4 times a day. Bit annoying but my levels don't ever seem to be high (ive been doing them at work since I've been pregnant) so my diet has been pretty good I think, just have to make sure I don't have a binge out on carbs, which I can definitely live with.

Hey Mustangkt we are the same "gestation" I think I've lost this one. I'm getting a lot of bleeding I'm going for a bt tomorrow. They say it could be old blood, but I don't think so. I'm gutted as I think why?

Goldie I had GD twice through both pregnancies yay! Not! All controlled by diet and I ended up losing weight! That part was great lol.
