As for food, no idea! I always struggle with that part, see if anyone can offer to bring stuff too to make it a bit easier. Stock your fridge with frozen things like party pies and stuff, you can always heat that up later if people get hungry. Have fun! x
I went to my brothers 40th last night and he had a pig on the spit

MrsLA - I have no idea about food. Sausages are easy and some salads maybe? Turning 30 wasn't too bad.

Lil Smurfy - thanks for the update. Glad to hear they are fine!!

Mumsical - glad your body is behaving again!

Shelby, butterfly, and Kelly - looks like we are on the same schedule because I got a positive OPK today and cramps. Looks like it's go time!!

Kelly - this is what mine looks like today. Yesterday the line was barely there so yes , it can change that fast.

Lil Smurfy - thanks for letting us know, glad to hear they are ok!

MrsLA - I was so worried about turning 30 and had planned on having my party, but it ended up that DD was only 6 months old and I didnt feel up to a party so just invited some family and friends to go out for breakfast. Was lovely.

    MCB - Love the ring!!

AFM - We decided to go on a spurr-of-the-moment weekend away with DH and DD. Its been really good just to get away and have some fun. Im feeling a bit better but still not feeling optimistic about this cycle. Oh well. Just want this week over so I know and can move on either way!!!

Thanks everyone for the party suggestions,
I was talking to DH about it today, and I think we will make it start a little later and just do finger food (party pies, mini dim dims, dips, chips, etc)
Don't think i can be bothered with feeding that many people a full meal, I want to enjoy it, not be worried about food
I also brought a old fridge of ebay for $40 today, will put it on the deck and have a big drinks fridge and a couple of eskys.

Waiting, sounds like you had a lovely weekend
I was hoping to be utd and big a fat for my 30th but sadly that dint happen. Although I still have this month and 1 more opportunity, so fx I am utd when I turn 30.

Hope everyone had a great weekend

    Thanks for the replies everyone!

MrsLA - I love planning parties! Go on Pinterest and get some ideas for themes and decorations. If you have free time, you can get really creative with the decorations!

Squiggs - That's how mine looked last night and 6 hours later that second line had faded loads. Your lines are both generally darker than mine tough. A better brand perhaps?

So is it always the case that OV takes place after AFTER the positive OPK? Before last night we had dtd since Wednesday, but got my Positive yesterday at 2pm!

Ovulation will happen 24-36 hours after your positive opk and your egg will hang around for 2 days, so get bedding!

Im so sick of the aches and pains that come along with ovulation. I hardly feel like a dtd marathon when my lower back aches, the thought of anything coming near my tender cervix makes me cringe and I generally feel like crawling up in a ball and hibernating for two days! Lol. O is 20 times worse than af for me! I also get really self conscious and emotional around o time which is annoying. But to top that all off I actually feel friskier than ever around o time too which is a complete contradiction to how my body feels. Am I making any sense at all? lol

    Night all! x

    I'm on it Shelby

Haha Butterfly sounds like your mind and body want different things. All I have noticed with me is a few niggles and pains. But it can be a pain having to force sex for 4 days in a row. At least for the rest of time it can be done in your own time and for fun again! I bet it would be so easy to conceive after just a few months together -BDing never stops in the early days!

Yeh I know, you go at it like rabbits in the first 6 months or so, haha!
