Default Blue nevus mole - reassure me it's not melanoma

I'm paranoid about this tiny little 1mm mole I have on my face. Yesterday when I went to the skin cancer place, I was told it was a blue nevus mole and not to worry about it unless it changes.

I'm just still worried as there's this little blue spot on my face - it's like I have a permanent biro spot on my face.

Does anyone else have one of these moles and can reassure me it's perfectly fine.

Sorry, i don't have one, but if it's something that will always bother/concern/worry you, maybe see if they can remove it?

Default Blue nevus mole - reassure me it's not melanoma

Melanomas are usually much bigger than 1mm, but having said that I don't think anyone on a forum should be telling you one way or another if a specific mole is fine or otherwise. Keep going back for regular checkups for all of your moles, particularly of there are any changes.

Default Blue nevus mole - reassure me it's not melanoma

DH has one on his arm, as far as we know and have been told a few times by different doctors is it is harmless. Keep an eye on it if it does change shape or colour but otherwise nothing to worry about. As PP said if you are unhappy about it you may be able to get it removed but maybe left with a scar.

I don't want to scare you but I was told by multiple doctors a small mole of mine was nothing but I insisted it be removed when I was pregnant with DS because I had a bad feeling and it was a melanoma. If you don't like it get it removed. Its much better to be safe than sorry.
