    Default Chance of 3rd premmie???

    Hi,
I'm hoping someone will have a bit more experience on this for me. I have 2 kids already, and 17 weeks with number 3. With my first 2 pregnancies I had prom at 34 weeks. I suppose what I am asking is do you think this one will be the same or worse still is there a chance of earlier??? The ob seems to think it will be at a similar time and has scheduled steroid jabs at 33 weeks. I'm more scared something will happen earlier!
    Any advice??

    Jen

    Default Chance of 3rd premmie???

Hi Jen. I don't have my experience with PROM, sorry. But I just wanted to say best of luck with it all. I'm sure your two bubs are reminders enough that even if you have another prem that it is in the long run worth it :-) xx

    Default Chance of 3rd premmie???

Oh deffinately, they are amazing. I didn't think I would worry about it this much but the closer it gets, the more anxious I get. I just want to get to 32 weeks, that's my aim!

    Default Chance of 3rd premmie???

    Thanks for the advice!

I find myself getting anxious that something might happen as early as 30 weeks! It's really bothering me!

Has anyone else had the same as this?? 2 pprom at 34 weeks then had number 3? If so what happened?? Ob seems to think it will be early, I'm just a bit concerned as to how early!

I can't help you much, but find this thread interesting as I had a pprom delivery last week! At 32 weeks. What a shock! My first went to term.

Anyway I've been trying to find information on the likelihood of another pprom. It seems it is likely,
    which is unfortunate, and scary.

All the best Jen. I hope you find some answers, but I guess you will never fully know. Sending vibes your way for a 40 weeker!

    Default Chance of 3rd premmie???

My little boy weighed 1.8kg when born.
He's doing well, breathing without oxygen, keeping breast milk down (he's being fed with a tube at the moment), he isn't jaundice anymore. Big milestones for only being a week old today

Mylittlestar, that's fantastic news, and a good weight for 32 weeks! Hearing this makes me feel more relaxed about worrying I go early. I want to get clear of 31 weeks and anything after that I will feel is a bonus! I know there is nothing I can do to prevent it so going to try and not worry about it. Both my dd and DS waters broke at 34+1 exactly do trying to take some comfort in the freaky coincidence of that and that this one will be the same as them.

I know what you mean Jen. If we decide to have another baby (not ready yet haha!) I will be worried about when I could go into labour. I would certainly hope its no earlier than 32 weeks. Although next time they said I'll be closely monitored.

That is freaky that you had both at 34 +1. Do you know why your waters broke early? I don't really know why mine did. They think my placenta was 'insufficient'.... who knows.

    Hi,

my first 2 children were born at 35 weeks and 33 weeks and i was sure i was having another premmie. I was induced with baby number 3 at 37 weeks due to medical reasons and induced at 38 weeks with baby number 4 due to quick labours. it could go either way! best of luck to you.
