my little star- yes I am worried about jealousy from DS to the baby! Going to read up on best ways to introduce them. My midwife also mentioned we'd discuss it which I was quite impressed with.

Eko- sorry you had such a bad night. Get to the pharmacy asap!

afm- my son had a better nights sleep but I woke at 4am and started thinking about this rental house we've just applied for. Hope to hear today if we got it! So I've basically been awake since then and once again feel horrible. Just on bus to work. Thank goodness it's Friday!

My little star hugs to you. Your dd has had so much go on and you being in and out of hospital means she is probably more thrown from her routine being different. Fingers crossed once max is home it will settle

    Eko go to the pharmacy.

Bond sounds like ur dh is a real support and him not being up to it really shows how much he does. Hope he recovers quickly so you can take it easy again.

J - all ur advice is amazing. We are very lucky to have you in this group.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday

MyLittleStar I hope your DD manages better when everything settles once Max is home. Feeling like a porn star does not sound fun!

Eko I hope the pharmacy has the tablets and you get some sleep soon

Bond Glad you got some sleep. I hope your DH recovers soon so as you can hand back some of those tasks he normally completes.

    Hi to everyone else.

AFM: I am a bit worn out today. Had to take yesterday off work as my gall stones are playing up not such a good thing when you can't take the pain killers. Made for a very long night but man I love my shower

Don't worry Eko, soon it will be a thing of the past! Yes you will still have sleepless nights, but minus the reflux, insomnia & many other things. You will have your body back soon.

As much as I would have loved to have grown Max to full term, I can't believe how quickly my body went back to normal... no nausea, insomnia, indigestion, bad taste all the time & I got (most of) my energy back.

It sounds like all our little toddlers are playing up right now! Oscar is being a devil child at night, crying and standing up in his cot yelling "Uppie Mummy!". If I pick him up and cuddle him, he is fine, but when I put him down again the cycle begins. I relented and took him to bed with us at 4.30am the other day, but this is really not a practice I want to continue. Plus, we want to get him into a big boy bed in the next few weeks.

Eko; when you get the tablets, take them immediately. You can take 2 tablets of Somac initially, then 1 daily thereafter. Take the ranitidine 300mg daily. (If you can only get ranitidine 150mg, then take 2 to make up the dose). It doesn't matter what time of day you take them, just get the goodness into you ASAP!

Bond Girl - Have you heard about the house yet? I hope they've contacted you, we were looking for a new rental when I was pregnant with DS and it was SO stressful. We only found out we got a place the day after he was born!

ToniS - Sucks about the gallstones I can't imagine how awful it must be to not be able to take anything for it either *hugs* yuck On the upside I had a huge long hot shower last night and WOW did I feel amazing afterwards.

MyLittleStar - It's funny, I didn't think about it last time but you're right. My body was settled again pretty much the day after I had DS. It was SO nice to be able to drink water without feeling sick lol.

J - I went down to the pharmacy and got some Ranitidine The pharmacist recommended against Somac to which I sort of went... Uh, kay *internal eyeroll* lol. But it seems so far that the Ranitidine is helping for now so I'm hopeful *grin*. Hope Oscar is a bit more settled, I think all our munchkins must just be getting to the point where they're more aware that they won't be the only one in the house soon.
DS got into bed with me for a little bit last night but like you I don't want to encourage him falling asleep in bed with me.

AFM - Bub seems to be keen on causing me troubles. We went to Coles to pick up some stuff and at least four times I had this awful pain in my hip. You know when a joint needs to crack but it won't? Yep. In my hip. OUCH! lol. Must have looked really funny because I was standing there swinging my hip trying to get it to crack and it wouldn't .

MyLittleStar, I hope DD settles for you soon. How much longer is Max likely to be in hospital?

Toni, that sucks about the gallstones. It's hard when you've got pain and can't take anything strong enough to actually get rid of it

Eko, that's good that the tablets seem to be helping. Shame about your hip though

Bond, I hope you hear about the house soon and can stop worrying/thinking about it

J, I hope Oscar settles for you soon too.

It definitely sounds like these toddlers are all suspecting that life is changing, and they're trying to cling on to you as long as they can. Poor little kids.

AFM, 20 weeks today. Not much happening. I feel pretty good apart from a bit of heartburn. I can feel bub kicking me now and can feel her on the outside. She is stubborn and won't kick when DH is around. I'm waiting for my bump to become more pregnancy like and less fat like.

See how you go with the ranitidine, but if it doesn't provide effective relief, go back to Pharmacy and get the Somac...just tell the Pharmacist you have it on doctor's advice. Let us know how you go.
