I had 6 but recently turfed two as I really only use 2 of the 6 anyway and we don't have a lot of linen space.

We have 2 doona covers for our bed and 2 sheet sets. When we upgraded from Queen to King a few years ago I didn't bother to buy heaps of linen for the new bed as it was really unneccessary. For my ds's bed I have 2 doona covers & 3 sheet sets, but I also have a spare doona for those nights when he wets the bed.

I have a king too and had to update our bedding stuff when we got it 2 yrs ago.
I found king bed stuff quite expensive so i got 2 doona covers, 2 fitted sheets, 8 pillow covers I think and one quilt throw (use this in summer instead of a doona).
