This wasn't my experience with Dr Biggs at all. I found Dr Biggs to be very professional and warm. tSame situation - ob Dr McLaren, delivery Dr Biggs. Was extremely happy with both.

My first birth she wasn't on, but Brenda Biggs was there after my birth to do stitches, etc. I felt that she was very cold towards me. She missed my birth, but I'm glad! I feel that she handled me really rough, compared to the lovely midwife and trainee that I got who delivered my baby.

I can highly recommend my Ob although his fees are $2800...
As for the Mater Private I had exceptional care I couldn't fault it in any way, each and every single member of staff there were incredible and so helpful. I spent 6 nights in hospital and the 4 weeks visiting my prem bub in the Special Care Nursery. I could not have wished for better care. My baby was born 6 months ago...I loved it and if I did have more babies would choose the same Ob and hospital...
    Good luck 😃

This is an old thread. You would be lucky to find a private ob at mater for under $2800 now.

Oops so it is, yes I thought my Ob was too far off with his prices.
But my comments still stand about the Mater Brisbane Being exceptional 😃

We loved it too. Parking is expensive though and far away from building. Hoping for Greenslopes next if we have another one.

Yes it is crazy expensive isn't it, we managed to find free parking on one of the side streets behind the hospital it was only a few extra minutes difference walking from there than the carpark but such a huge saving when we were there every day for a month...
