Default Do you have a hobby/interest?

I have a lot of spare time on my hands now my youngest has started kindy and I'm looking for work (which isn't happening as quick as I would like)

I need something 'fun' to fill in my time and look forward to but have no idea what to do.

I'm not really crafty or arty.

Hoping others may share ideas of fun things you do whilst child free

I tend to go to the gym and also watch a bulk lot of episodes of shows I like. I'm not really one for art and craft either!!

Where are you? I joined a meet up group, a single parent one and I spend a lot of time with ds attending meet ups. We go lots of different places. Love it , met lots of great people, it's become my passion ...google meet up and check it out.

    Thanks for the suggestions

I definately need to start exercising again so that is my first step.

I'm very fortunate that I have a few single parent friends that I meet up with. I am mainly just looking for something I can do for myself, that I can soley focus on. It's hard to work out a hobby you like, it should just come naturally shouldn't it??

I study and I play soccer. Spare time doesn't really happen. I love the soccer- it really gives me something else to focus on. For that 45min (intermitantly), I focus on getting a round ball away from our goals (I'm a defender). It's so simple and uncomplicated. Admittedly I often look to the sideline or check up on DS at half time to make sure he's visible, but he's always been fairly independent and everyone at the games watches out for him.

I tend to get fixated on tv series as well. Tend to watch whole seasons at once.

Tv series here too. Mostly dramas. I also play a bit of Xbox too when DS is in bed. Gym is a good time filler too.
