    Default Needing another Scan

    Hi,

I went to the docs today for a check up all good until the doctor wanted to feel my tummy and he notice a lump 4 cm above belly button. He now wants me to go an have another scan, I'm only 13 weeks and he seems to think my uterus should not be that high up for 13 weeks.......

How likely is it that the first scan I had at 7 weeks for the dates to be wrong, or there be a twin that was missed???
The doctor was very confused and has referred me to a different radiologist.......

I suppose it depends it the first scan was internal or just external?

Did your LMP dates match your scan dates?

I probably wouldn't worry too much though good luck

It was just an external one, fingers crossed I don't have to wait too long for the appointment!

At 7 weeks (depending on a lot of things) they could have measured wrong or missed a twin!

13 weeks should be fine for an external now

    Good luck

The first thing that popped into my head was an umbilical hernia...or maybe a large ovarian cyst?

I hope your scan results are good and put your mind at rest.

I'm nervous today, too, as having my 20 week scan. Hope we both get great news today. Good luck!
