Default How early do I need to place my child on school waiting lists?

    Hello northsiders,
My DS is 3.5 months old and I haven't even thought about preschool but some Mums in my mothers group are putting their sons on waiting lists for high school! Is this necessary? I am not originally from Sydney. Any tips on good schools in the north shore?
    TIA.

I assume they're putting their kids in private schools, in which case I guess I'm not surprised although I don't know why people do it. There are so many good schools (public and private) on the north shore, if you aren't going private for primary then I would think a decision on secondary can wait a few years at least!
