Default How to help baby sit from crawling position

DD can crawl and can sit perfectly unaided. She can go from sitting to crawling but can't work out crawling position to sitting! She can go from crawling and sitting position to pulling up on legs and furniture but this one thing has her stuck and she's getting frustrated and tbh so am I.

Any ideas/tips/tricks to help her? TIA

My DD took a little while with this. I would just make sure there are lots of new interactive things around to get her into different positions and it will come. Just takes a bit of time.

I don't think it's something you can actually teach her instead let her learn on her own by laying all her toys around that she will want to play with, she will get it eventually.I think DD4 was around 10months when she could finally do it on her own.

I am not sure much will work to 'teach' your LO to do it, other than learning in her own time, but maybe if you did it too - crawl to a toy and sit, crawl to another toy and sit... She MAY try and copy you?

    Thanks!

I do try to model the behaviour but I think because it's such a natural thing (for me) that I'm already sitting before I've remembered to do it slowly haha.

She can crawl onto her couch and turn herself around and sit but if I lay her toys out she'll just crawl along to the next and do this weird side bendy lay/lean thing. Lil freak hehe.

Everyone thinks it's strange though that she can stand from crawl but not sit...

I have no doubt she'll do it soon enough!
