So sick of being guilted into going to these stupid things by a friends for a friend of a friend then being bored out if my witts and harrassed to throw a party. I dont care about your ¢ra-P-Py ¢R@p!!

Oh hell yes to "party plan," things.

Why does ANYONE want to go over to someone's house so someone can spend an hour or so trying to convince you to buy something?

Even if you want the product and don't think it's an overpriced piece of junk (lol - can you see that that's clearly my opinion? ), I'd rather order from a catalogue than go to a party to do it.

Me too! nutrimetics gives me, my best friend and my mum a rash on the neck. Tupperware, how can you get that excited about plastic?

Everytime I go to one of these things ( never wanting to go) I think man at least 3/4 of people here are here by guilt and dont want to tell the host. Then buy stuff they don't want.

Sitting around with a cup of tea trying to not get conned into buying $160 worth of plastic containers, then the Tupperware/nutrimetics lady is coming for you to convince you how much you'll benefit from having a party. Hate it!

I do have to admit that I love love love Tupperware...

I get very excited about it. My pantry is absolutely full of it. I had one of those consultations where you buy Tupperware for everything you buy. Soba noodles? Yes, I need a special pot for those! Bonito flakes? Sure! But it makes everything last soooo much longer, and now means I have a super organised pantry, and can cook recipes at short notice because I have everything in stock...

(No I'm not a Tupperware dealer - I just have problems...)

I could list many things but the number one thing is Facebook.
I do not understand why so many people love it and are obsessed with it.

I think it might be when your Twitter, Instagram & Facebook accounts are connected. I'm guessing if you post a picture in Twitter say, the hash tags carry over in to your FB post too, but aren't needed there????

I don't know anything about Instagram but I think the hash tags are a way to categorise your photo?
I dunno, who knows what the kids are doing these days hehe

I can't speak for those who have an unhealthy obsession with it, but for me,
if I had to email or call every one I care about and want to keep in contact with, that just wouldn't happen.
Life with 2 boys to look after keeps me far too busy, I hate the phone and I'm a very slow typer
FB allows me a quick hello or an in depth chat without anyone's noses out of joint.
My friends all use it for the same purpose.
I think it's easy to forget in these days of modern technology that only 20 yrs ago, people moved on and lost touch very very easily.
As you add to your family and have less time to socialise its very easy for friendships to dwindle or completely fade away.
I'm pretty sure this would have been my fate when I emigrated.
It's been invaluable to me over the past 7yrs, having no family here and constantly moving house, it has been the one constant thing for me.
I hate it sometimes but for the most part the good outweighs the bad.

    Ok , waffle over.
