Default Do You Celebrate Your Birthday?

Usually I do but this year I didn't really. My bday was two days ago and I had a lovely morning chilling with DS, lunch at a pub that has beautiful ocean views with my family then a walk along the beach with DS in the Arvo. It was perfect!

Default Do You Celebrate Your Birthday?

I make a big deal out of my kids birthdays but not mine, it was my 25th yesterday and all I did was have a BBQ lunch and a few people around at my mums. The Only reason I had even tht was because my mum wanted to do it for me. It didn't even feel like my bday to be honest. I hate growing up haha.

Birthdays are a big deal with us! Mine was Friday.

I got spoilt with pressies, DH and DD made chocolate pancakes with raspberry butter and syrup for brekky, then we went on a road trip to my fav place for lunch, DD decorated me a cake too! It was such an amazing day.
Saturday we had a big family BBQ. We all love birthdays, doesn't matter how old you are each one is special!!

I do make a big deal about birthdays. I think they're important because you were born on that day and I'm really thankful I am alive
I always make sure I do something for myself and I have always taken the day off work if I would normally work that day. I eat at my favorite restaurant, Hogs Breath, either the night of my birthday or close to it as well.

Big deal. Day off work. Book into massage. Then spend some time praying for my late mother, bcos its as much her day as mine.

Also, I try not to think about how it impacts other people (eg DH has to watch kids while I'm at massage, but its usually booked in on a weekend day). It's the one day a year that I makes self important to myself. Gotta make it happen!

    Happy birthday!

Kids bdays are huge at our place, for us not huge but we acknowledge them for DH I make a cake we buy/make pressies.
For mine DD is onto dH weeks before so he can't forget, usually they'll buy a cake last year DD insisted they make it...

    Happy birthday for tomorrow!!

No not mine. In fact in 2011 everyone, even DP forgot my 25th. That kind of sucked as although I don't celebrate it, to be forgotten was hard.
