    Default MCN Essentials?

I have decided to go with mainly BBH Magic Alls.

I am also planning on buying some CCs/misc second hands as a back-up.

I'm feeling a bit clueless when it comes to everything else. Do I need to buy extra liners- if so is there a certain type for a certain nappy? For the cheapies, if I need to buy covers can I buy just anything or are they nappy specific?

What bits and pieces do I need to buy extra of to have on hand?

    It's really confusing!

The only other things to consider:
    - a pail and/or liner for putting the dirty nappies in
    - cloth wipes
    - wet bags for when out and about

I have found that certain PUL covers fit over certain nappies better than others so it might depend on the brand of nappy. If you're thinking of using cloth overnight, look at wool covers.

On the liners - we were given a big roll of flushable liners but only used them for a week or so. Newborn poo just washes so easily. It's only now my dd is a toddler I'm considering using them again. But I know lots of people find them useful. Hmmm...I think that's it?!

Thanks! So you can use a cover for a diff brand nappy then... Just touch and go as to how well it fits?

Yep. I found that bbh covers fit most nappies as they come down a fair way on the leg. Other pros - they're cheap. Cons - they don't have a "double gusset" (around the leg) so don't perform quite as well as some others. I like Thirsties "duo wraps."

Thirsties do but IMO double gussets are not "hugely important". Wool covers for night use aren't always a necessity either - we don't use them. Also keep in mind that while most brands are great, they won't necessarily suit Bubs shape
