Question Can I really not have a bath?

So in my first pregnancy years back, I followed all the do's & do not's and it sucked just a bit.

This time around, I'm more aware, but one thing I'm not so aware on, is if it really IS too dangerous for my growing bubby for me to have a bath on occasions, maybe once a week. I never fill the bath entirely so I'm not fully submerged, maybe 8/10ths submerged, and they aren't steaming hot, my skin doesn't go red LOL.

Can I really not safely have a bath to relax now and then?

Of course you can have a bath. They are so relaxing and great for releaving those aches and pains. Just not too hot is all. Enjoy your bath

same thing happened to me - I felt like a beached whale!

As PP have said as long as you don't overheat a bath is fine. Maybe make it cooler than you would like, just to make sure.

The only issue with baths is overheating same can happen in showers if your like me and have them steaming hot. Being fully submerged isn't the issue at all just the level of heat.

Think of boiling an egg and what happens to the runny egg once the water starts boiling and the longer its in there....

I would never had lasted through my pregnancies without a bath. I use to lay their until the water was cold, it was just so nice to have the pressure off my body for a while. As long as the water isn't hotter than body temp you are fine.
