I can claim $150 per child (but a maximum of 2 children) per year for their swimming lessons. I have to wait until the time period it covers though before I can claim it as they can't do a claim for a future date.

I can claim up to $100 per year for each of us with PHI.

$150 is great...what company is that?

HCF but its only for a maximum of 2 people.

Still, pays for the first term of DD#2 & DD#3's swimming lessons plus about $5 each of the second term. Our old PHI didn't do anything like that so it was a nice surprise when we found out our new one did. (Not why we changed though)

Just realised I think I have lost the receipt for the deposit I paid so I will have to wait until the end of second term to get that extra bit back.

I kinda have a feeling there is something similar in every state, just from reading on my google search adventure lol best bet would be to call centrelink, cause they know everything, or visit the human services website seen as its for card holders im pretty sure their would be something available is other states cause last year it was a federal initiative to fight childhood obesity, Its is quiet new in QLD so maybe the other states are just waiting to implement something like this scheme. Would be terribly unfair if it was only in selected states when as a whole, the funding is needed for lower income families to be able to afford sports for their children! I will keep looking today!

I run a dance studio and I just had to set up my ABN with some PHI's so my students were covered. I think it was about $150 per semester. I just sign their form and they get the rebate.

(It's of no benefit to me other than helps some parents out with fees as it must be paid up front)
    I don't have PHI

I've just been googling to try and find if there is something like this in NSW, but couldn't find anything. There was a proposal for it about 5 years ago but nothing happened from what I can see.
The Schoolkids Bonus thing is supposed to help cover sports fees as well apparently.

It's abit frustrating that I can't claim any fees on PHI because I can't afford to actually have PHI, yet if I could afford PHI then I would get cheaper sports fees!

^ yep makes no sense! I was totally unaware of it at all! We cant afford PHI as well and had been saving for months for sign on. I dont see how the SKB would help with that it barely helped covering our school fee's, books and didnt even come close to uniforms.. Well i hope something is coming in soon, the qld one came in last year so hopefully with the state and gov budgets coming up they implement the scheme nation wide
