Default Would you choose a public or private primary school on the Gold Coast?

    Hi there!

We are a young family who will be moving to the Gold Coast and I will be transferring my 5 year old straight into prep. We are wondering what the best schools are around the area. My boy is very bright and just loves to learn, but is a little shy and sensitive. He is very obedient and follows routines/structures very well.

I'm open to both public and private schools. Is there a big difference here on the gold coast? We will be living in the Robina area, but I don't mind traveling for the right school. Even if the good schools are full, please let me know so that I can get him on a waitlist for the following school term.

Because we have another baby who we would love to send to the same school, my budget for a private school would have to be around 5-6 thousand per year. We are also not religious, but are very open to a religious based school.

Thank you so much for ANY advice!!!

Most definitely private. A bit more than your price range but I'll be sending DS to TSS ( The Southport School, it's an all boys P-12) for high school.
For financial reasons he'll go to St Kevin's for primary they're both central gold coast though.
