    Default Mozzie bites help

It might seem gross, but I've read (and tried it myself with good results) that saliva can soothe the itch. Not sure if it's a placebo effect with me but I rub a bit on and it helps.

ETA- if you're a mum who spits on a tissue and then wipes grime off your child (like my mum did!) then it's probably not too "out there" an idea

An antihistamine should help, plus Lucas' pawpaw ointment is great on insect bites.

If there is no chemist open try 30% metho or tee tree oil and 70% water they dry them out and stop the itch

DD2 is allergic and gets bitten all over. The best treatment I've used is a cream called Medi Quattro. It's brilliant.
