Default Best capsule car seat and pram

    Hi Ladies
Just thought Id pop a recommendation in here. I have read recently on the CREP website that the Safety 1st one safe infant carrier, is the only capsule to be rated 5 stars for safety. 1 star meets the aus/nz standards, but the higher stars, the higher safety above basic standards. Also the safety first stroller compatible with this capsule is the only stroller I have read of, that is rated 5 stars for safety in Aus. I guess it does depend on how much money you want to spend. But if you are going to buy the top of the line baby capsule or stroller travel system that is worth about $700, wouldnt you want to spend it on the safest rated one, not the one that looks the nicest and does not exceed basic safety standards? just a thought

I recently put a post up under a different topic about the safety first stroller only (not capsule). It was sold to us as suitable for newborns through to 20kg toddlers. However, when I look at it again I'm not sure the seat is suitable for newborns (keeping in mind I am talking only about the stroller attachment, not the car capsule). It was also sold to us as a suitable pram for fast-paced walking for exercise, including over rougher terrain. Can anyone comment as to whether it actually is suitable for these things? I feel like the sales assistant just wanted a sale, and maybe we rushed into buying too quickly.

Default Best capsule car seat and pram

Just FYI, the safety 1st capsule fits onto the maxi cosi pram adapters that lots of prams take. Baby jogger and bugaboo for a start. You just have to unscrew the adapters on the side of the capsule first.

I have a safety first capsule for my bugaboo donkey and its brilliant!

i have the safety 1st capsule and use it with the maxi cosi adaptors on my baby jogger city elite. just unscrewed the bottom bits which in no way affect safety and function of the capsule in the base for the car.
Its fantastic as its so light in weight and has the 5 star safety rating.
Not sure about the pram though...alreadyt had my baby jogger and adaptors, the capsule was an unnecesary splurge that is the best thing i bought!
bought my capsule with2 bases for $120 from super cheap auto!
