    Default Dishwasher tips?

I put our expensive knives in too. Works fine.

Only problem I've ever had was with kids plastic cups and a plastic drink bottle I put in last week. It shrunk to a third of its original size! Melted in the heat (ours can go up 2 more past normal). Regular plastic stuff like tuppawear and chopping boards are fine.

Does everyone make sure their tupperware goes only in the top draw? I have issues fitting some of it in the top draw and just wanted to ask, things like the large fridge veg containers.

I use the tablets and buy in bulk when they have at least 20% off. In the past have got them for 50%.

After much trial and error my dishwasher washes best when I chuck the tablet in the bottom of the dishwasher.

I put mine in the bottom if the tips full. Never had any problems.

    Default Dishwasher tips?

I find that the powerball tablets break my glasses sometimes! And they leave the glass looking cloudy.

I love tablets that have a dissolvable wrapper, I hate having to unwrap a tablet each time (and get powder on my hands).

I like the earths choice tablets.

I chuck my tupperware wherever it fits. No problems.

    Default Dishwasher tips?

Use rinse aid. I buy the cheap on from woolies. Also I use the cheap dishwasher cleaner probably once a month.
Sharp knives go blade down in cutlery tray.
    Load it up and relax!!

I pile everything in too & I buy things depending on if they will go in the dishwasher. If they won't - I won't buy them! Lol

The only thing I have had problems with is my mundial knives. I've had two of my main knives handles slowly start breaking and completely break from the dishwasher. Takes a long time but I'm so upset they are broken. I tried washing them by hand but I just didnt feel they were getting properly sanitized that way so I just keep putting them back in haha

My global knives rust, but everything else (everything) goes in. When you're cooking try to use all of the same sizes of bowl/plate for eating and serving, then they stack better. I rinse before putting things in, I guess if you need a strainer for the sink you need one for the dishwasher and the sink is easier to clean!

I agree with PP's tips of spinning the propeller first, and also opening the door after it's finished to let it air out.

I put everything in except my Global knives, I don't know why but it's just that I love my knives and I'm overprotective of them .

Small Tupperware goes on the top shelf but big stuff goes on the bottom.

Another tip I have is that I try to separate the spoons, forks etc so they're all mixed up, as I find that the spoons especially will, erm, spoon each other LOL and then they don't wash properly.
