Default Which baby monitor should I buy?

Don't want to spend a fortune but would like a baby monitor that doesn't have any static and has ok range. Don't think I want the sensor business going on, or video - just a sound monitor. I bought a cheapo one and it's more useful in the bin than it has been to me (think it was a fisher price, lights and sounds monitor?). Thanks so much in advance!!

I've been through about 5! we currently have the oricom video monitor and it is amazing... def. go with an oricon. the monitors don't activate until sound is detected and because of that there is zero static (that's what drove us nuts until this one)

I have a snuza one. Video monitor that has good range, only activates when noise happens (no static ever with mine) and it plays music too!!

You're so nice to ask. She's doing really well. Gaining weight nicely and starting to put open heart surgery behind her (at least til the next one). She's a little fighter.

I've got a Motorola one from big W that is great zero static and an excellent range (I can be out in the yard and it still works) highly recommend it for a sound only monitor (I think it was about $80)

It seriously is isn't it! I spose the fact that it was 50% off (so $30) should have been my first clue hahaha
