Ours is a Childcare and I love it. We had it on the high setting when DS was little which was wonderful, now that he's on the low setting I find the drop side invaluable. Ours converts to a toddler bed but we already have single beds, and as bubba number two is on the way I don't think DS will get a chance to use it as a toddler bed. Oh - that's another reason I think the drop side is invaluable, once I've got a belly it's going to be a struggle to put him in the cot without it.

Especially easier with a drop side before they can stand. Im only small so i literally would have had to drop dd in the cot!! No way i could have placed her down safely without a drop side.

Get one that has an adjustable height for the mattress.

I know two people's cots who only have one height and was unsafe for them once there lo's were standing.

I also have the childcare cot and it's been great. I think a lot of cots are very overpriced tbh.

My DD is 4 months old and we have only used her cot probably 20 times for day sleeps so far. We have her in a bassinet in our room when she out grows she will go into her cot in her room. I would recommend an adjustable height mattress.
Some cots are huge so consider the space you have. We bought a boori style without the boori tag for 1/2 the price.

I'm hoping this cot goes on sale in a few weeks if it suits our needs

It's the same sold at target, if the baby sale is still on?
