Default When does Centrelink PPL get paid?

So I thought my PPL was supposed to go in on Monday and its now Friday, I just tried ringing and there is a 90 minute wait! And I've tried looking online that tells me nothing. Is there a specific day on which it is paid? I'm just starting to stress as I won't be able to pay my mortgage if it doesn't come in by next week! Any advice would be helpful, thanks

Default When does Centrelink PPL get paid?

Not sure about days, mine always came on a Tuesday. If you try calling after 4 the times are usually less, otherwise try calling at 8am on the dot on Monday and you should get straight through or only wait a few minutes. Always best to call before 9am, the wait times are generally horrendous all day

Default When does Centrelink PPL get paid?

Mine was paid by employer so my normal pay cycles.

I've also found calling between 3-4pm is often better. Many mums must be doing the school run!

I got a letter telling me when it had been sent to my employer, then I had to wait for the next pay cycle to receive the first payment. Have you received a letter from centre link with pay commencement date?

If it's coming direct from centrelink you can log in to their online thingy and it should tell you

Default When does Centrelink PPL get paid?

I got a letter today to say its been approved and has been sent to my employer, so does that mean it will be paid on my usual pay day?

Yes. This confused me when I got the letter too, really annoying as I had to wait the fortnight as they sent it at the beginning of a pay period.

Mine was paid through my employer on regular pay days but it took ages for Centrelink to process it. btw I tried calling them every half hour for eight hours today and they were engaged. Guess it's the back-to-school rush.

Mine got paid through my employer on my regular pay also. Something to keep in mind, is your company's payroll cutoff. I set up my PPL form so that my payments would start from start of Feb 2012. However my employer pays on the 15th of the month, centrelink sent them the money at start of feb but that missed my company's payroll cutoff for that month so I got paid for feb and march on 15th of march.
