Does anyone know its normal for AF to make depression worse ? Should I ask the doctor to increase the meds or just wait & see how I feel when the bleeding stops ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Be gentle on yourself, so common to go off the rails around AF

Not yet hokey . But I have just started getting cramps that take my breath away... Hoping it's a good sign that bub will be here soon... That and I've had lots of pressure against my bladder like bub is head butting it. Lol. Todays my due date and I'm hoping I'm one of those lucky women who go into labour on their due date

Does anyone have say good relaxation techniques I could try?

I use mindfulness. It's actually a form of meditation that is very easily done... Just focus your mind on one thing and don't let any distracting thoughts or feelings in your head. If they come, acknowledge them and let them go. When I was learning this technique we used breathing as our focus, but we were encouraged to try with other things too, like eating and brushing our teeth. Think about the textures etc..

    Hope that helps

Getting upset! My bub still isn't moving and my mum is so negative atm... I really feel like crying but that's the wrong hormone to be releasing when I want to go into labour!

    How's everyone else going?

My DS is 18 and suffers Depression and Anxiety. He was diagnosed In October last year when he began cutting himself and was having suicidal thoughts. He also has moments where he experiences psychotic symptoms, but these are becoming less frequent these days as a result of medication. It is a constant battle of getting him to take his medication, seeing psychologists and psychiatrists with some days worse than others. I feel lucky in a way because I was lucky enough to help my son before his suicidal idealization turned into reality. Yes, he did have a plan and even had a noose hanging in his room behind his curtain. I have become good at 'staying strong' on the outside but on the inside am constantly scared. Wanted to share his story because I believe depression and suicide needs to be brought out into the open and also helps me to talk about it too.

Some times it's not those that suffer from the illness that are affected the worst... Sometimes it's their families that are... You are a wonderfully strong woman, and your son is lucky to have you in his life as his mother
