I'm a qld'er born and bread.... Nikko is normally the black permanent marker whereas a texta is your coloured felt tip pens used for colouring in :-)

I'm a QLD'er born and bred too. Permanent markers have always been refered to as permanent markers and 'textas' have always been refered to as felt pens.

Born in Sydney, grew up in Bris - I agree with this - Nikko for a black permanent marker, only black no other colour, and texta for colouring felt tips

I'm watching Great Australian Sandcastles (about insanely big beach houses) and the architect keeps referring to the court-chard instead of court-yard. Driving me mad!!!
