    I think a lot of mispronounciations can be confused with dialects as well The english language is forever changing.

    Lots of people do. Apparently there was a radio show years ago where a character pronounced it incorrectly as a joke and it caught on. One of those annoying cultural tics like om nom nom. Though they work both ways, I now can't say excellent without echoing Mr Burns so I just don't say it at all.

    I cringe everytime I hear the "Erbal Essense" ads on TV..it's Herbal! No silent H!!
    I think its a US thing, but irks me no end! They are herbs, not erbs! LOL..

    It's not exactly pronouncing but I cAnt stand when people write 'his' where they actually mean 'he's!! For example "look where HIS going"!!
