Default *spin off* what mispronounced words drive you mad

I can't stand when people write 'nom nom' when they post a photo of their food on Facebook etc. And I don't even know if its written/said instead of 'yum yum'. Or if it means something else completely. Either way, it annoys me!

I am the same. it just makes me think of them chewing with their mouth open and that to me is like nails on a chalk board.

Thanks for clearing that up for me! Had no idea that's what it meant. Interesting but still annoying 😁

Oh, I've thought of another. My friend pronounces accelerate "agg-zel-erate".

Yeah, the word is drawer. Soooooo many people here say "chest of draws", I'd actually begun to wonder if it was a 'real' word over here, so i typed it into Google. Zilch results for 'chest of draws' so I must be right

Slightly better than "chester draws", which is often to be found on eBay

Great way to get a bargain though when you search items that have been misspelt!

Hahaha 😂 you know I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people thought it was 'chester draws'.
