This!!! drives me up the wall how they say it in WA! Especially the radio ad they had a while back about getting a pe-ool to help your kids stay ke-ool while they're on ske-ool holidays AHHH!

And the American way of saying niche "nitch"

WA pronounce the words correctly, us QLDers apparently pronounce pool as pewl and cool as kewl and school as skewl. It's amazing actually living in the same country and how many differces there are between states. Even the names of objects etc are different (whole different thread there though!)

So maybe it's the WA'ers that pronounce it weird then and not me?

Ha ha.... No, unfortunately it is an adult. Sounds very child like doesn't it. Actually thought of another one, Tang-ya, instead of Tania.

Lol I keep thinking of new things to add, I have a friend who says "four-est" instead of "forr-est" and lots of other "o" sounds pronounced as "oar"... It drives me insane and I've tried so hard to practice saying those words with her but she still gets them wrong haha!!!

I know this will rattle debate.

But I hate seeing "often" pronounced as its spelt. It's true pronunciation is actually often with a silent "t". It irks me greatly. I think Aussies became slack with it over time creating the mispronunciation to be common.
