What's with SA people having different pronunciation!?
ummm... nobody in SA says ingin... that sounds like a New Zealand accent to me.

I ordered a croissant the other day (correct pronunciation) and the waitress looked at me blankly. I then said a kras-ont in a bad Aussie accent and she understood me perfectly. Hmmm....

YES!!! It's usually only Americans who say Edin-burg though thank god.

I wish Lachlan was pronounced with the "ch" sound and not the "ck" sound over here.

And whilst we're at it, if you're talking about tortillas as in the Mexican flat bread it's, pronounced as though the "ll" is a y. In Mexican Spanish a double-l is pronounced as though it is a "y".

My hubby says 'rit' instead of 'wrote' - like 'I rit back to him'. It's like fingernails down a chalkboard. I correct him each time and he says 'yeah same thing'. Ummm no, no it's not!

I'm a QLDer living in WA and always get curry for how I say 'pool, school, cool'. I actually am so self conscious of it now I try not to say those words and will choose other words to use to avoid copping flack!
