We try to go out every morning (DS is 27 months) leave by 9.30 - usually play dates, visiting Nan's or friends or daddy at work, little kickers on Fridays, going to the shopping centre, parks, he loves going to the fruit shop/butcher and going out for lunch or I have friends/cousins come over here to play (more so in summer as we have a big pool!)
We then try get home by 1.30 as he still sleeps for 2 hours (sound asleep now!) then he plays outside or in his play room for about an hour when he wakes up , we do play dough/blocks or drawing together , make muffins or snacks or run around outside, he watches play school /dora while I get dinner ready and is quite happy to play by himself in his play room the late afternoon especially if we have been out all morning

I get DS (21 montha) involvedin all the mundane household things. He helps load/ unload the washing machine and wash up dishes. I also get him to help cook (more standing on a chair having a stir that type of thing.

    Other things we do
    -wooden blocks duplo
    -play dough
    -drawing/painting
-wash his bike/play in the sprinkler (we're lucky not to have water restrictions)
-put music on and have a dance
    - sand pit play
    - sorting and matching activities.

My DS is 19 months and so so active! We plan something every morning and normally go for a walk to the park after his sleep in the arvos. He spends Monday morning with his cousins at Grandmas house while I do shopping with DD (6wks). Tuesday's we go to playgroup, Wednesday's kindergym, Thursday's is normally a play date or a swim at the pool. Fridays we go on an outing either to the beach (30 mins away) or to a park in another suburb. I also try to plan 2 simple craft or cooking activities each week (my teacher side coming out!) such as finger painting, shaving cream painting, goop, water painting outside, play dough (not that successful!) etc.

My son just turned two and started daycare two days a week as of Monday ( which he LOVES!). The other days we have swimming one morning, and gymnastics another. We have loads of memberships to the zoo, a bird aviary, reptile place and a bunch of other kid friendly places that we visit regularly, including the dreaded indoor play-centre. Other than that there are lots of lovely parks and nature reserves which are great for chasing the wildlife and throwing sticks in water (which could easily fill a day!).

When we're home, he loves to sing and dance to Play School and Wiggles CDs, paint, draw, help water the garden and pick stuff for dinner, watch and chase birds as well as the usual playing with the toy stash.

Going outdoors always seems to keep my toddler amused for as long as I ever want to be out there. Seriously. Animals, trees, plants, going for a walk, flowers, sticking things up her nose. It just keeps her so amused, so easily.

I take my girls for a walk or ride every morning. We either go to the park or feed the ducks.
    Painting, drawing, blocks, puzzles.
Next week we are about to start a tiny tots dance class and swimming lessons. Add in school drop off & pick ups plus naps and that's our days gone.
