Default Going to the snow with 3 kids

I'm interested in any tips from BHers about snow trips with kids in Australia. We want to go to the snow this season but have no idea which one would be best, most practical. We will have an 8yo, 4yo and 1yo. A quick look at google provides a few places like perisher and thredbo, but of course those sites want me to go there.

Have you been to the snow with kids? Where did you go? Was it good for the kids?

And help I would appreciate! It'll be our first proper family holiday.

Oh I will keep an eye on this as well. We would like to go this year also.

My children are 5 and 8. My DP and I have been to Falls Creek and that was great would love to go back. It seems a little more expensive than other places though. So will look at any other suggestions.

mount Donna Buang is a nice place to go,for cross-country, toboganning and snow-shoeing. The nearest airport is Melbourne. Had a wonderful time there last year, we got cheap travel deals at Wego Australia. Mount Buller and Lake Mountain are nearby too, so you can consider going there as well. Although I think 1 yo might be too young to do anything but your 4 and 8 yo will def love it!
