    Default Capsule or convertible seat?

So I'm wondering, who used a capsule and swears by it versus using a convertible seat from 0-4 yrs.
Just trying to work out what to buy.
If you have a brand that you recommend, I'd love to hear about it.

    Default Capsule or convertible seat?

I used a convertible seat for my first two, but then got a capsule for #3 since it was the only way we could get 3 carseats in the backseat until my eldest was old enough to go into a booster.
We lived in an apartment and walked just about everywhere, so didn't use our car much. I couldn't see the point in buying or renting a capsule when a convertible seat would do the same job.
Depending on how many children you want and what age gaps you're planning, consider getting a slimline seat like a safe n sound compaq. We had to replace 2 of our carseats so we could fit all 3 kids in the backseat- but at least it was a cheaper option than getting a new car!

I used a capsule for one baby, and a convertible carseat for another child. first child was a winter baby, so it was ideal for him to be in a capsule, as I could keep him warmer while transfering him from car to house or shops etc, as it would snow and often be only 5 degree's outside, my only problem with it, was that as he got older and went into a convertible seat, when he would fall asleep and I had to transfer him, he would wake easily, where as with my second (summer baby) I didn't bother with a capsule, and she would easily transfer too and from car without waking, making life alot easier, hope that makes sense. I think you've just got to decide what you need out of a carseat, and weigh up your pro's and cons for both, and go from there

I didn't have a capsule first time but I'll be hiring one this time! When DS feel asleep in the car I either left him in the car or had to wake him. Likewise if he fell asleep just before we left home I had to wake him to put him in the carseat. Also if I wanted to just pop quickly into a shop I had to either wake him or leave him in the vehicle (tsk tsk!) Hoping to be able to avoid these issues with a capsule and will hopefully be able to get a capsule adapter for my pram too. I'll look at buying secondhand maybe or hiring from kidsafe.

    Default Capsule or convertible seat?

Didn't have a capsual at first, but dd was prem and struggled to fit her in a convertible car seat, so ended up buying a capsual as well.... Loved it
Very handy, ESP with her being so small.

    Default Capsule or convertible seat?

I have no comparison but I love the capsule. My bub is only 8 weeks and she's tiny. I will get a lot of use out of it! I love not disturbing her to get in and out of car. I also love the fact that if I carry her inside someone's house in it I can put the seat down and rock it gently. She falls asleep in it!!
I have a steelcraft agile capsule and pram travel system. Couldn't be happier with my choice. (Haven't tried any others though as she is my first so my opinion probably doesn't hold much!!)

Capsule for us. No need to wake baby when getting in/out of the car.
